Clementine Mattesco

Clémentine is currently in her first year of the Programme de droit canadien at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, she followed her passion for agriculture, environmental regeneration, and community building by completing an undergraduate degree in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from McGill University and then spending two years developing her own regenerative and educational farm in the village of Wakefield (QC) with her family.

Clementine’s prime motivation is to bring her contribution to projects that adopt an interdisciplinary approach to develop solutions to some of the complex issues our society is facing. Whether we want to halt the 6th mass extinction on planet earth or prevent the dangers social media imposes on our democracies, she believes efficient solutions should be rooted in a system thinking approach.

Deeply inspired by CRAiDEL’s approach and projects, Clémentine is extremely grateful to be part of this team of passionate people from all kinds of fields. She is committed to provide valuable legal insights to the CRAiDEL projects she’ll have the opportunity to work on.

When she’s not reading case law, Clémentine is brainstorming for her next project on her farm, trying to get through the pile of books she wants to read, spending time outside, playing with her dogs or taking care of her alpacas and horses.
