Jordan Geist

Jordan Geist is a 1L student in the English Common Law program. She is a Management Engineer from the University of Waterloo where she specialized in user centric design and process improvement. Throughout her time at Waterloo she studied and worked with innovative technologies such as machine learning algorithms and facial recognition products. While she is excited about the role innovative technologies can play in society, her focus increasingly shifted from creating technology to thinking about their broader ethical, and societal impacts. Building on her engineering background, she hopes to bring her expertise in emerging technologies to the legal world with work at the intersection between law, technology and policy. In her free time, she enjoys workout classes, reading and travelling.
