Sharon Chernyak

Sharon Chernyak is in her first year of the English Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, Sharon completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University where she advocated for health policy reform with the McMaster Autism Research Team. She hopes to gain a broader understanding of technology’s impacts on medical legal issues, health policy gaps, and privacy laws. Sharon is excited to apply her background in science and policy to explore the social implications of technology on healthcare, ultimately harnessing these innovations for the promotion of justice, equity, and systemic reform. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing international card games, and buying tickets to concerts that eventually get cancelled.
