The New Zealand App allows users to scan QR codes from locations they visit creating a log of where each user has been. if a user tests positive, they can choose to share their diary with contact tracers who can then trigger contact alerts. There is also the option of making a manual diary entry noting where you have been. The New Zealand Government also notably keeps an active log of the app data and shares it with the public on their government website.
