The official contact tracing app of the Philippines is StaySafe.PH, however multiple communities within the country have adopted other forms of digital contact tracing: Valenzuela has ValTrace; the company MYEG Philippines, Inc. developed MyEGuard; South Cotabato has the South Cotabato COVID-19 Contact Tracing System (SCCCTS); among others.

App-Specific Legislation

Sen. Francis Tolentino has filed Senate Bill No. 1888 seeking the regulation of contact tracing apps and other health-related mobile applications. Under SB No. 1888, health applications and software shall be covered under the medical devices to be regulated by the FDA under the Republic Act No. 3720, as amended by RA No. 9711
